I love the way the cave opening is in the shape of a bear, or atleast that is how I interpret it.

As soon as I saw this I thought the positive was the negative and I was looking at an abstract beaver or similar animal. Nice work -- would love to see it when it's finished.

This has a feel of a North American woodlands. The conifers. May I know if you based it on anything?

Clever juxtaposition there. Composition. Well done!

There is a feeling to it of lying inside a womb, looking outside into the jungle forest. Perhaps with each reworking the trees come closer? Metaphorically speaking, reality is approaching?

Looks like a view from a cave. Finish it when you can and let us see the full version. :-)

your painting has that reddish, earthy colour of indian soil which I soon noticed while travelling there...interesting point of view, once can feel the forest seen from the cave. [tnx for your comment]

Nice work! I also meant to comment on your painting "Sunset in California," -- the contrast between the sharply rendered, rich darkness of the tree's bark and the earthy, golden-red hues you often incorporate is striking - lovely.

(btw, thank you for the nice comments.)

Many a time the interpretation of the painting turns out to be more creative than the artwork itself - this is definitely one such instance. Greatly enjoyed all your comments. Thank you all very much!

chuang Shyue Chou,
You are right about the location. This is based on my sketches and photographs at Ash cave in Ohio, USA.

I think the Eye of the jungle is finished.
You might ruin it if you do anymore work on it........
