This charcoal sketch is based on my photograph of a stone carving in one of the Hoysala temples at Belur/Halebeedu (unfortunately I am not able to recall the exact location) in Karnataka, India.

Wow! Its always amazes me how an artist can use a piece of charcoal to create something so beautiful. Very nice work! But I felt that the face needed a little something more. I don't know exactly what. :)
