Left Hand Sketch

Here is another one drawn with my non-dominant hand. Please click on the label "left hand drawing" below for more.
Update: I have been asked if this sketch is that of Mohandas Gandhi. No, it is not. It is of a model in the life drawing class that I attend occasionally.

Good job Arvindh. By the way are you scanning the drawing to post it here or taking a digital cam shot?

Hey Arvindh, why don't you try scanning the sketch than the digital cam print? I think it will bring out the full quality of the sketch. Just a thought.

Thanks Jo. You are right about the quality of the picture. However, some of these works will not fit in a scanner (for eg., this sketch is 18X24 inches). Also, paintings on canvas cannot go in a scanner. That is why I am sticking to digital pics.
Thank you for your steady encouragement.

That is nice Arvindh. Is that Gandhi?

Is this Gandhiji? You do a very good job drawing with your non-dominant hand.

And on the digi cam photos. I've been told to take the work out during the day but not in direct sunlight and to take the photograph.

I also adjust it afterwards in ps or iphoto to get it to be a closer match to the original. if you use ps i think you can set what is meant to be white and it adjusts the rest of the photograph accordingly.

sorry for the loooong comment :D

Nice one Arvind. He does look a little like M.K.Gandhi from behind :-). Your left hand attempts are no longer mere attempts - they are as good as and sometimes even better than your dominant hand creations.

Great work! Have to agree with Anitha...ur left hand has become almost as good as ur right hand. Seems like ur are using more of ur left hand these days. Your right hand is soon going to feel jealous. :D
