Jo, these temples are from the Hoysala period in Belur and Halebedu in Karnataka. Belur and Halebedu are neighbouring cities that are about 3-4 hours away from Bangalore. If you like to see intricate sculptures this is the place to be. The last picture I have uploaded here is to highlight the painstaking lengths to which sculptors have gone to render the strings in the instrument. Note the finger under the string! i just came back from there - beautiful place - but i prefer somnathpur to all 3 south hoysala temples
