Wonderful Aravindh!!! Be it landscapes or portraits, you are a very talented person.
Wow! Good work. How did you manage to capture that look? Did she pose for you, or u painted using a photograph as reference?
how did u ever get a child to sit..
u have caught her impish smile and mischevious look perfectly..
Interesting to see different styles. Portraits can be a lot of fun! Nice contrast in this piece.
A portrait too good to be considered as first. You have brought the innocence of the child very beautifully.
Thank you all for your wonderful comments!
Ujwala,
I have always been sketching and dabbling in paints. I think my first oil painting was done when I was 14 or so.
Suji,
This was painted from a photograph I took. She is such a lively person - always full of energy and fun. I owe the appeal of this portrait to her vibrant personality.
I lud it.. I luvd her shy smile..
Who is she?
U have an amazing talent...

thanks for stopping by at my blog, see you at the next IF!
This is really fine...I am impressed that this is this first portrait you did! I love the earthy colors and the wonderful treament of light on the face:>
A very pretty girl- you did a great job of capturing her and her spirit.
i agree with them. she's lovely and so is the portrait...
I believe in portraits! I think you should try doing some celebrity portraits and if you get good at it, you could probably get them used in magazines or newspapers. There's always room for another portrait style. I certainly appreciate a good portrait instead of a photo, myself.
Hey, haven't been here for sometime. Loved this portrait Arvind :-)
